How To Draw Wild Mushrooms | Ink & Wash | Mushroom Botanical Sketch

In this video I show how I go about drawing some wild mushrooms in ink and how to make them pop with specific watercolor techniques, such as, an easy, very soft and loose, watercolor background with textured grass. I show everything from beginning to end and it's my most complete tutorial thus far!

In the description of the video there's a link to the royalty-free image I used as a reference. I selected this particular photograph due to its nice yet uncomplicated composition, making the reference good for beginners as well as all levels of experience.

Though it does present its challenges, both in drawing and watercolor, it's meant to be a FUN challenge. Try the techniques, don't be too precious with it, and enjoy the process, regardless of the result! Remember, if you "mess up", you can always try again!
